The junior school was lucky enough to have Paint the Earth
come and visit them at school.
We designed a tile with something kiwiana on it, we learnt that kiwiana can mean something that is unique to New Zealand.
We painted our tiles in a process, the process went like
this:
1. We received our tiles we then went and sketched our picture onto it
2. Once our sketch was finished we then painted the main picture/ object
3. We then painted the background
4. After we finished painting we had to line up behind a teacher who outlined our tiles in black paint
5. We then put our creations on the stage for them to go into a super hot oven. We learnt that this oven is called a kiln and can get as hot up to 1000 degrees!
