Mum gave me 3 apples and Dad gave me 2 more. How many apples do I have altogether?

Room 5 have been learning about problem solving. We learned that when we come across a problem we need to read it, look for key words and then plan a way to solve it. We talked about different ways we could do this and that which ever way we chose, all ways were right!
Finn used materials to solve the problem.

On Friday the 10th Room 3 were on the stage for assembly.
We had made some paper hats so we could share the sun safe message.

Some of us get a little bit shy because there were too many people.

 We sang Hats on Top.
The big children from Room 24 helped us to sit nicely and to sing our song.

Room 11 olden day dress up

In Term 3 we were learning about Greenhithe community and where it all began. We looked at photos from the past and compared it to the present. We also looked at how life was different many, many years ago and how they are different to the way things are now.

To celebrate Greenhithe's 125 Years on the first week back, Term4, as a school we all dressed up as though we were from 125 years ago. It was super fun! We got to play olden day games like hopscotch and jump rope and walk in a parade in the afternoon. Here are some photos that we took throughout the day...
