Room 3 loves PMP

Room 3 is lucky enough to have two PMP sessions a week. PMP is a perceptual motor programme that is designed to help children to develop their understanding of movement and language as a basis for learning. The children work in small groups with an adult helper.  However for the children in Room 3 it is all about learning and having fun.

Room 12's Art Display

This term we have been learning about two different artists, Piet Mondrian and Wassily Kandinsky.

We looked at Mondrian’s cubist art and
used this as a base to
create our own cubist art piece using no more than 3 coloured crayons and a black vivid.

Then we looked at Wassily Kandinsky’s use of colour and circles. We used an idea that Beth Carter came up with to paint circles using Kandinsky’s technique and then use them as flowers on our trees. Our backgrounds where created using crayon and dye and our trees are made from black paper.

We hope you like our interpretations of these artist's work. We love how our display looks at the Art Exhibition.

All the latest from Room 2

Term 3 has been busy in our brand new lovely classroom. We are enjoying our warm, brightly coloured room and all our new furniture.

This term we have been looking at the artist Kandinsky and basing our art work around his circle picture. We are excited about showing you some of our art at next week's art exhibition in the hall. Here is a sneak preview:

We have been learning about the past, present and future of the children in Room 2. Soon we are going to start learning about the past, present and future of Greenhithe School. Here is a photo of Rory sharing his poster with the class.

The courier delivered an exciting package to school for Room 2 today. We have our own little garden and we will be planting our flower seeds in the next few days.
Until next time
