Then and Now - our trip to Howick Historical Village

We all enjoyed our trip to Howick Historical Village and found out all about the olden days. Everything was so different. We thought we would rather live now than back then because the children have more fun now.
The toys in the olden days are wooden. These ones can be moved by pulling on the cord below.

This is a house from the olden days. When we walked inside we could see old furniture and carpet.

We learnt some nursery rhymes. Some of them we knew but some of them we hadn't heard before. It was interesting hearing the stories about why nursery rhymes were invented.

We even did some movements to the words of nursery rhymes!

We enjoyed the old school house too! Lots of Room 29 liked having such a strict teacher.

Georgia liked the olden days teacher because she was funny. Marnie thinks they dress funny in the olden days.
